  11.   Well according to Cliff's announcement you all know me already <g>, but
  12.   since I know that isn't the case let me talk a little about one of my
  13.   favorite subjects...ME! <g>
  14.  
  15.   I'm an old timer on Intelec, back when I first joined we could all
  16.   recite the node list from memory and chances are we could name almost
  17.   all of the users <g>. Besides being the editor of this newsletter I have
  18.   been serving the network as a Super Regional since I joined. I have done
  19.   my time as a moderator, I've been handling the Sysops conference for the
  20.   past couple of years, Audio-Video since it was introduced and the Issues
  21.   Debate conference for the last couple of months. Enough of the boring
  22.   network credentials, what about the REAL me?
  23.  
  24.   Like many of us my job in the real world is what introduced me to
  25.   computers. After getting hooked I discovered the modem world and have
  26.   been roaming the world for the past several years. Over the years I've
  27.   had several `private' BBS systems up and running, mostly for keeping in
  28.   touch with friends and business associates. In 1989 I decided to take a
  29.   stab at the `public' and opened my current system up. The main reason
  30.   for my opening this system was I couldn't find a board in town that I
  31.   liked, they were all just file boards and I already had my fill of
  32.   shareware. I decided to take a chance and introduced network mail to my
  33.   callers when I added Intelec a couple of months after the board opened.

  35.   I am 35 years old and have four wonderful daughters (13, 10, 9 and 6)
  36.   from my first marriage. That one ended about six years ago, with a wife
  37.   and four girls in the house it was either divorce or never use the
  38.   bathroom and phone again <g>. Last New Years Eve I threw caution to the
  39.   wind and got married for the second time, I figure that practice makes
  40.   perfect and I'm bound to get it right sooner or later <g>. Jennie, my
  41.   wife, is currently finishing up school at USC, and the long distance
  42.   relationship has proved to be interesting to say the least <g>. She is
  43.   in her final year though, after graduation she will be returning to the
  44.   area so we can start acting a little more normal.

  46.   You'll all come to find that I'm a natural born smarta**, I try to NEVER
  47.   take things too seriously. I think we're all on Intelec for the same
  48.   thing, to have a little fun and make a few friends in the process. There
  49.   are NO major changes planned for the network as far as philosophy and
  50.   goals are concerned, we've got a good thing going and there's no sense
  51.   in rocking the boat. My background is in sales and management, and my
  52.   management training will surely mean I'll do a few things a little
  53.   different than Cliff did. While the style may turn out to be a bit
  54.   different the results will remain the same, anything and everything I do
  55.   will be done for the best of the network as a whole.
